When a good friend recently claimed that they ate ‘the best avocado on toast’ at the new Rude Health Cafe in South West London, we had to try it and find out for ourselves.
Famous for their range of healthy food and drinks (think nut milks, muesli, crackers and oats), the cafe opened its doors in July with a menu to satisfy every craving; from the aforementioned Avocado On Toast (with Goats curd, beetroot shavings and chilli) to Sprouted Spelt Pancakes and signature cereal and muesli.
Certain breakfast-themed cafes have received a bad rep in recent months for being too niche but Rude Health have cleverly avoided this pitfall with a selection of wholesome brunch-to-lunch dishes alongside their breakfast offering. With a bright pink exterior, green awnings and electric blue tables - the cafe is pretty hard to miss; the decor inside however is clean and inviting with elegant wooden booths and simple fixtures.
We’ve eaten enough avocado on toast in recent years to know a good one when we find it and Rude Health have the winning formula: generous portion sizes, quality ingredients and perfectly presented food fit for any Instagram feed.
