Cacao & Ginger Immunity Oats

Spice up your breakfast-in-bed game this Mother's Day with our functional cacao and ginger immunity oats recipe. Valued for its detoxifying and cleansing qualities, ginger is bursting with immune boosting antioxidants whilst cacao provides a sustainably energising and indulgent twist. Give your mum some well deserved TLC in the form of body-loving and beautifying nourishment this weekend (and be sure make extra for yourself, because she's not gonna want to share this).

INGREDIENTS
150g oats (gluten free)
300ml plant-based milk
1 tbsp chia seeds
2-4 tbsp raw cacao powder (or standard cocoa powder)
2 tsp ground ginger OR 1 tsp freshly grated ginger
1 tsp maca power
1 tbsp flaxseeds, milled/ground
3-4 tsp coconut sugar OR other natural syrup of choice
Pinch of salt (we use Himalayan pink or sea salt)

METHOD
1. Add all of the ingredients to a medium bowl and stir to combine.
2. Cover or transfer to tuppeware and leave to soak in the fridge overnight (or for a minimum or 4 hours).
2. Serve cold with your choice of toppings - we like fresh berries and a sprinkle of Qnola - or heat through in a pan with a splash of extra plant-based milk or water for a warming bowl of porridge.
