Here at Qnola, we're constantly exploring ways to help enhance our day-to-day routines; whether that means a moment in the morning for meditation, taking time to enjoy breakfast, energising our mind with a workout or simply allowing ourselves to just be. Though our routines might change, it's important to maintain some structure to aid natural sleep cycles, metabolism and brain function.

We're excited to introduce the latest members of the Qnola gang, not only because they're our first beauty launch but also because we know you're going to love them. Please raise your hands for our Wake Up Well and Wind Down Well candles, now available exclusively from our online store.

Our Wake Up Well candle is made with Cedarwood & Amyris and is aimed to help you feel focussed, centered, calm and mentally energised. Cedarwood offers an aroma known to improve focus and stimulate metabolism. Its physical benefits include calming acne, reducing skin irritations, curing fungal infections and reducing muscular spasms. Amyris is an uplifting scent and is known to uplift the spirit and mind by minimizing stress and tension, and releasing anxiety to improve mental clarity.

Our Wind Down Well candle is made with Ho Wood Oil, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot & Clary Sage and is aimed to reduce stress and encourage relaxation at the end of a busy day. Ho Wood Oil contains sedative properties and can help break unhealthy emotional patterns and boost courage. It can be helpful in manifesting thoughts and visions into realities. Ylang Ylang is also known as a sedative and can relieve stress and reduce fatigue. When used on the skin it is helpful in maintaining the moisture and oil balance of the skin, keeping it hydrated and smooth. Bergamot and Clary Sage are valued as relaxing oils and are thought to have antidepressant properties.

As our candles are made from natural ingredients and are free from chemicals, fillers and artificial ingredients, they also serve as deeply nourishing skincare products including fragrance oil, deodorant and a moisturiser. 

We have massage points (also known as pressure points) all over our bodies, which can become tight if they are under too much physical stress. Our hands and feet are particularly affected as they are constantly in use and are made up of many complex bones and muscles. Taking just a few minutes to apply pressure to tight body parts can reduce physical pain and tension as well as emotional imbalances. We hold more tension in our muscles than many people realise and releasing this tension can have a direct affect on the way we think and feel.

The skin is the body’s largest organ and is partly responsible for letting external matter into our bodies. The same way our cells break down and absorb what we put in our bodies, they break down and absorb whatever we put on them too. The skin prevents harmful toxins from entering the body but more often than not, we end up lathering products high in these suffocating toxins onto our bodies, with the intention of doing them good. Sure, moisturiser helps keep the skin, well, moist, but if it’s made from harmful ingredients and chemicals, it could be doing more harm than good. And sure, we need deodorant to conceal body odour, but sweating is our body’s natural attempt to release toxins in the body, so if we use products that prevent us from sweating, these toxins will be forced to circulate around the body. On the other hand, treating your body with nourishing, natural ingredients will support the skin’s natural rhythms - illuminating and enhancing your complexion. Bye, parabens! + To use as a moisturiser, light for a minimum of 5 minutes then extinguish and let cool for a minimum of 2 minutes. Gently scoop the cooling wax with your fingers and apply gently and moderately to skin. The wax is thick so this is recommended for particularly dry areas such as knees and elbows. If using on face or body, we’d recommend this on days when you’re spending morning at home, make-up free, or preparing to sleep.

+ For a natural fragrance oil, light for a minimum of 5 minutes then extinguish and let cool for minimum of 2 minutes, dip your fingers into the liquid wax and rub a small amount between your fingers and apply to targeted areas (wrists, neck, shoulders) or use on your hands to give a buddy a back or full body massage.

+ To use as a natural deodorant, light for a minimum of 5 minutes then extinguish and let cool for minimum of 2 minutes, dip your fingers into the liquid wax and rub a small amount onto your underarms.
